Vertical lifeline systems provide convenient, safe and reliable personal fall protection for workers who perform vertical climbing tasks. Many ladder related accidents are preventable with the use of a vertical lifeline and a fall protection rope grab system. A vertical lifeline enables mobility up and down the entire height of the line, These systems are usually a rope, a cable, or a track to which a worker is attached via a full body harness and lanyard.
Self retracting lifelines are mechanical devices with quick-activating braking system that limits a free fall to centimetres,with recduced fall arrest forces making this especially suitable for low-space fall clearance.
